Other food tours we’ve been on have had more stops and typically multiple tastings at each stop, sometimes served family style. The last stop for ice cream was just okay. Ben was a good storyteller and tour would have been a five if more food tastings.”

“As a family of four visiting from Chicago this was the perfect tour for us. Our guide was phenomenal! This tour takes you to places that most tour groups would not. Where other tours tend to take groups to well known popular locations this tour really gives you a feel for the city and its history through unique and a wonderful variety places that we may not otherwise have experienced. I highly recommend the tour for visitors and locales alike.”

“We were looking for a tour of Alcatraz, and this was the only tour available that got us to Alcatraz. However, it ended up being great. We met at the Ferry Building, and our guide (Carol) took us around the building and gave us a history of the building and many of the merchants in the building. The food tasting ranged from cheese, to bread, to the meat purveyor. The sample at Slanted Door led us to book dinner reservations there the next day. There are many tours that go to Alcatraz, but this one was the best way to get there. The samples were so plentiful that we skipped…”

“Tour was ok, disappointed that tour was booked on a Monday when the cable car museum is closed (cable car museum is the start point of the tour), would be nice if this was mentioned when booking the tour maybe because it was just the two of us with the tour guide, we were expecting more energy/vibe and we are use to more sightseeing during this type of tours Food was tasty, gelato and fortune cookie company were the most memorable moments Would be nice to had walked to see the dragon gate in Chinatown as part of the tour Just felt wanting more”

“We thought that the food on this tour was fine, but the Ferry Plaza was so crowded and noisy on the day that we went, that we could barely hear what our tour guide was saying. The information on the tour was about the stores and the owners - which to be honest, wasn't very exciting or interesting to an out-of-towner. We would've rather heard about the history of the area we were in, or even the history of the food scene in San Francisco.”
