“Transport was very fast and efficient. Arriving at Alcatraz you can catch a little tram if you’re not too good on your feet. I’m not, but managed the walk ok even if it was quite warm (September). The guided tour was fascinating. You can spend as long as you like there, ferries leave frequently. Absolutely loved my trip.”

“The guide, Michelle, was excellent with great knowledge of San Fransisco, its historia and all places we stopped at, as well as of buildings we saw from the bus. She was keen to answer our questions. The stops were long enough. We appreciated that we were a small group. Even Alcatraz was interesting according to me. However, my husband was not that impressed by Alcatraz. The sunny and warm weather contributed of course... The tour can really be recommended.”

“We enjoyed the tour but we were not informed of Muir Woods being closed until we boarded for the tour. Instead, our driver, who was great, drove us around to ransom spots (one of which we visited on our own the previous day) and a creepy alley was part of the tour (graffiti). He did his best but too bad they didn’t just take us all to Alcatraz or a place more interesting than all of the little odd places.”

“It was really nice and you had a lot of opportunities to take beautiful pictures of both the golden gate bridge and Alcatraz. I highly recommend to be there as early as they tell you to be so that you are one of the first to pick a good seat. Do not forget your jacket as it is very windy. All in all great experience.”

“Alcatraz has been closed for a week for dock repairs. This was disclosed within an hour of booking, but Viator just needs to take the option off the site. Muir Woods and Sausalito were beautiful. Randall did a great job driving, I felt safe on the edge of the mountain with him. He provided us with many SF facts that I was not aware of.”

“Great tour with Park Warden to start and the audio tour in the prison. If offered a fan on ferry take it, there are thousands of flies on Alcatraz but they don’t spoil the trip. Great living history tour”

“The tour included San Franscico, Muir Woods, Sausalito and Alcatraz. My favorite was Muir Woods and Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge. The San Francisco part of the trip was more of a very high-level drive through for the most part. It was fine to give a better idea of what to see in more depth. Per was a wonderful tour guide and highly recommend him. Dylan Tours is a smaller tour company and I recommend booking tours with them.”
